Financial Analyst


About the role

Reporting to Finance Business Partner for PP&I , the Finance Analyst – PP&I who will be based in our Cambridge office, will play a key role in supporting the Product Portfolio & Innovation functions globally, working with the key stakeholders/leaders through monthly business performance review and by providing data analysis to aid decision making.

This role will be support delivery of accurate and timely budgets and forecasts.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support Finance Business Partner by providing timely and accurate analysis and reporting in order to support both operational and strategic decision making

  • Provide in depth monthly budget/forecast variance analysis to Group Product Portfolio & Innovation Cost Centres, as well for any strategic Programmes which sit in this group

  • Support Finance Business Partner with Business case analysis and detailed return on investment for Group Product Portfolio & Innovation activities, strategic programmes, and Capital investment, including those relating to facilities

  • Support Finance Business Partner with accurate and timely delivery of budget and forecast building across Group Product Portfolio & Innovation Cost Centres and strategic programmes, in line with timeframes as laid out by Head of Planning

    • Develop dynamic reports and analysis to support short, and long-term planning

    • Develop and maintain budget and forecast models where necessary

  • Ensure that correct financial procedures are maintained and adhered to

    • Ad hoc analysis and modelling as required


  • Part qualified, studying for (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)

  • Advance excel skills

  • Knowledge of Oracle finance systems preferable
