We seek a Data Privacy Lead to support our Privacy Champion.

Summary of Responsibilities

The Privacy Team are responsible for assisting the business with the design and execution of controls, processes, and procedures to ensure the proper usage and safeguarding of customer, employee and other confidential information. These individuals are required to partner with business functions to drive implementation to comply with privacy policy framework and requirements.

The Privacy Team are not permitted to serve in a Compliance capacity, nor are they permitted to provide compliance or legal privacy advice or services. They should engage in implementing requirements and not in setting requirements.

The Privacy Lead is required to:

  • Have the appropriate stature, proper authority, and accountability to implement and execute the 1st LOD Privacy operating model that adheres to Global Privacy requirements and drive required results

  • Influence management decisions around usage and access to resources in the business that are commensurate with the level of privacy risks in order to drive the control requirements and/or enhancements

  • Ensure effective execution of privacy requirements, maintenance of privacy related procedures and adherence to such procedures

  • Be an active member in the appropriate Privacy Compliance Forums (or general compliance forum if Privacy Forum not established) and Control Committee to provide transparency through reporting on business risks, issues and/or control deficiencies that would impact the LOB’s ability to comply with the privacy requirements

  • Integrate the business into the respective Privacy Compliance Forum and Control Committees to provide transparency on business privacy risks and issues, controls, project updates or other privacy matters requiring escalation

  • Be available to support the respective Privacy Champion and Privacy Compliance Lead and participate in privacy workgroups, strategic projects or targeted reviews that require business engagement

  • Drive the implementation of LOB privacy procedures and ensures that suchprocedures are maintained, accurate and comply with applicable privacy policies and requirements


Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience designing privacy / data protection compliant solutions within multi-disciplinary teams working in an agile environment

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a mature Privacy/risk framework, including accountability for reporting and metrics.

  • Experience in implementing privacy requirements into business practices (processes & procedures) and conducting privacy, operational and/or technology risk assessments

  • Understanding of processes and information flows for business and operational units that manage customer, employee data and other confidential information

  • Relevant experience working with support functions such as operations, controls, marketing, preference collection, information management, information technology, and third party management. Privacy operations experience a plus

  • Strong analytic capabilities, confident in identifying/solving complex operational challenges and control oriented.

  • Ability to work well with a geographically dispersed group of privacy, business and control professionals

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven experience in relationship building, influencing and partnering

  • BA/BS degree; Equivalent combinations of education, training and experience will also be considered including privacy certifications, program management or relevant industry registrations
