Would you like to be at the heart of a major Royal Navy capability upgrade programme? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Management Professional (MML Campaign) at one of our sites in Portsmouth, Frimley or Dorchester.

As a Project Management Professional (MML Campaign), you will be supporting the project manager with bidding and campaign work. Maritime Multi-Link (MML) aims to deliver capability into the in-service royal navy fleet prioritising the operational need as directed by the UK royal navy.


This role will provide you with an opportunity to build your knowledge and experience in project management, working closely with internal and external customers.

We are looking for someone who has enthusiasm, drive and the potential to develop, with the aim of becoming a future project manager.

Your main responsibilities as a Project Management Professional will involve:

Supporting the project manager in their daily activities running the MML campaign and bid documentation.

On contract award:

Providing general project management assistance and supporting the Control Account Managers (CAM) and other discipline line managers in their day to day running of the project.

Supporting monthly reporting requirements in accordance with the project reporting lifecycle

Preparing project management information in support of the Project Manager as required

Assist in the development and management of project schedules, supported by risks and opportunities.

Support project forecasting for both schedule and cost through analysis of project performance data

Deputising for the Project Manager as required.

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Excellent IT skills

Some overall project management knowledge

Excellent communication skills

Organisational skills and ability to take ownership of meeting deadlines

Desirable:

A Project Management qualification would be a benefit however not essential as full support and training can be given

Business related degree beneficial however not essential

What we're looking for in you:

We are looking for a quick learner with strong communication skills who is experienced in stakeholder management and able to build relationships. Organisational skills are required as you will have to meet reporting deadlines. You will have a high level of numeracy with accuracy and attention to detail with an analytical mindset. The ability to work on your own initiative is essential.
