Job Description :
Delivering to the business
In this role you will be helping deliver IT related projects, specifically the delivery of service support solutions. Working alongside the Information Technology Service Management team, the major focus is on the implementation and improvement of the IT Services we provide within our global engineering, management and development consultancy.

Improving Delivery of IT Services
From the outset you will work with the team to clearly define deliverables and resource requirements. Produce project plans and associated documentation and communicate project status effectively. Ultimately, managing projects from business case through to conception.

Day to day activities will involve controlling, scheduling and updating of project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools, ensuring projects remain within scope, time and budget, whilst continually tracking and ensuring deliverables are achieved.

Working with project teams to ensure early Identification, effective management and mitigation of project related issues and risks throughout the project lifecycle is key, as is the regular development and distribution of project progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, presentations, ensuring the project team and key stakeholders have their finger on the pulse.

Candidate Specification :
In an ever-evolving digital environment, it is important that we find someone who is customer focused, with good commercial experience in delivering IT projects.

You will need to have excellent communication, problem solving and time management skills, proven stakeholder management experience and be capable of dealing with shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
A good understanding of IT and business processes is required

If this sounds like you, we'd like to you have:
  • Competent project management skills, following business processes
  • A demonstrable history in end to end project delivery
  • An accreditation within Project Management such as Prince2
  • A strong familiarity with Microsoft products; Excel, MS Project, Office and Windows
  • Ability to think in a logical and structured way
  • An ability to work under your own initiative
  • A creative approach to problem solving, be intellectually curious and have the strength to challenge decisions
  • Strong communication and people skills, polished writing and confidence presenting
  • A self-starter mentality and be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
  • Be open minded, assertive, cooperative, strong sense of team, vision driven.
It would be even better if you also have:
  • Experience in the delivery of IT support services related projects
  • A degree or equivalent in Information Management or related discipline.

Job Profile :
This is a full time opportunity offered fixed term for 12 months, there is a likelihood this will be extended and the salary range budgeted for this role is between £40,000 to £45,000 per year.
The role can be based in any UK Mott MacDonald office with regular travel to the south (Croydon/Brighton).
