CIB Environment Management was established to create a consistent support model for all CIB Non-Prod environments, including standard processes, procedures and tools with a high degree of automation. By professionalizing and creating consistency in how we support Non-Prod environments, we can drive significant increases in productivity, efficiency and speed of delivery to market while improving the supportability, monitoring, and resiliency of environments. The Environment Management Product Owner will be responsible for defining a vision and roadmap for the Environment Management tooling and solutions, in partnership with existing development teams. The target state should leverage existing tooling and solutions, enhancing functionality to support a CIB-wide Environment management discipline.
- Defines and communicates product vision and strategy in line with the customers’ long-term business goals
Assess, understand and measure customer need and value drivers
Prioritizes work for delivery teams relative to product roadmap
Establishes operational quality goals and manages error budget that gauges balance between feature & functionality and reliability activities in backlog
Manages product evolution from concept to implementation; in partnership with the development teams
Conducts make vs. buy analysis to determine approach to fulfill customer and market need
Creates user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria
Demos the product to key stakeholders and customers
Drives awareness and adoption of the product
Working knowledge of product management techniques (e.g., product strategy development, customer engagement)
Knowledge of process modelling techniques (e.g., value stream mapping)
Up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts to a senior management and customers
Experience in managing agile, cross-functional teams, often through influence (i.e., not direct oversight)
