Our API powers recurring payments for companies like Survey Monkey, Bulb and the Financial Times. It also enables partners including Xero, Quickbooks and Sage to help small businesses to save countless hours spent chasing customers for payments.

We’re looking for an exceptional Head of BI to help GoCardless scale and lead our BI function. This hire is a crucial appointment but also an amazing opportunity for an ambitious leader looking to be part of a special growth story.

Working with other functions in engineering, data, design and security and the wider product development group.

Role Overview

The Head of BI (Senior Manager or Director Level) reports into VP Data and sits within the Product Development Function of GoCardless (alongside Product, Engineering, Design & Security).

The data function has three key goals …

  1. GoCardless is a data-driven company (delivered mainly through BI)
  2. Our products are differentiated through leveraging our data (delivered mainly through Data Science)
  3. We care deeply about our data assets - Quality / Integrity / Accountability / Ethics (delivered through data governance)

The successful candidate will:

  • Define & Deliver a roadmap of ongoing BI capability improvement in terms of people & organisation, process and technology

  • Manage a small team of highly regarded BI analysts and engineers at IC and Management level, we do however need experience in managing managers as well as IC's.

  • Work to build a wider analytical community within GC to deliver on our self served operating model

  • Establish best practices across the business for KPI & metrics definition

  • Interface with senior Stakeholders (CEO down) in terms of delivering capability and insight

  • Be the internal and external focus for BI excellence within GC
