Senior Mission Systems Engineer
Would you like to work with front line warship support engineering and for QEC working on a 5th generation warship technology? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Mission Systems Engineer at our site in Portsmouth.
As a Senior Mission Systems Engineer, you will be part of surface ships support COM WTA Engineering teams (QEC, T45,T23 or Hunt).
This role will provide you with career opportunities within and outside of the WTA in line with the wider Maritime Services engineering business.
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Mission Systems Engineer will involve:
Ensuring the design integrity of the Combat System is maintained within in service environment
Managing the efficient, timely and safe implementation of design change, including updating and upgrading activities
Contributing to the maintenance of configuration control of the Combat System
Providing authoritative evidence to demonstrate that design intent has been achieved and ensuring that the design change has been holistically integrated
Your skills and qualifications:
Good understanding of system engineering (including hardware) design
An appreciation for product safety and engineering standards
An understanding of system architectures e.g. networks, communications etc
Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent. Ideally chartered or working towards.
Ideally from a maritime environment
