Aircraft Skills Development Coach

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Aircraft Maintenance Academy Humberside Airport for a Cat B1 aircraft engineer to join the instructor team, delivering a variety of training solutions, including EASA modules and Type Training.

As an Aircraft Skills Development Coach, you will be ensuring all apprentices receive an optimum opportunity to develop the required experience during the first year in maintaining and supporting aircraft in part M and/or part 145 operations.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to be part of the team that works out of the academy at Humberside and may involve travel to sites

Your main responsibilities as an Aircraft Skills Development Coach will involve:

Deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practices (including classroom, on aircraft consolidation, practical assignments and testing) that engage and inspire learners to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully progress within the business.

Managing and operating training devices (including a ground training aircraft), ensuring they are fit for the required training exercise

Promoting the use of continuous improvement techniques to improve the content of the training and maintenance experience gained

Your skills and qualifications as an Aircraft Skills Development Coach:

EASA Cat B1 licence/modules or equivalent (or working towards) would be desirable

Level 3 NVQ certificate in aeronautical engineering

Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or progressing towards) would be beneficial

Some leadership and supervision experience

Ideally some knowledge of apprenticeships, Standards, assessment/verification practices and awarding body compliance procedures

Typhoon, Tornado or Hawk experience is highly desirable

Salary: £33,744
