Flight Systems Engineer
Would you like to opportunity to support a range of complex defence related programmes and will operate across the full engineering lifecycle? We currently have a vacancy for a Flight Systems Engineer at our site in Brough.
As a Flight Systems Engineer, you will develop innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions for a range of complex projects and will be a technical focal point for their area of expertise.
This role will provide you with the opportunity benefit from structured development and training, in accordance with development needs, and will be encouraged and supported to develop your career, either as a subject matter expert, or in an engineering management related role.
Your main responsibilities as a Flight Systems Engineer will involve:
Being responsible for a range of engineering related activities across the full engineering lifecycle and there will be opportunity to gain experience across a number of programmes.
Being responsible for delivering programmes of work from the planning phase right through to certification in line with industry standards.
Working effectively with our customers and supply chain.
Your skills and qualifications:
Ideally degree qualified, in an engineering discipline, and a minimum of five years’ experience working as an electrical engineer in the aerospace or related industry
Self-motivated and be able to work both autonomously and part of a development team
Ideally registered as a Chartered Engineer (or working towards this)
Knowledge of the engineering lifecycle, and aerospace industry working standards, particularly in a safety-related environment
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with our supply chain and global customer base
Armed Forces experience with relevant engineering and support experience in an operational environment
Awareness and experience of functional safety and application in a civil or military aerospace context
