Financial Accountant - Overseas Finance

Would you like to play a key role in delivering financial services to aircraft production programmes, capability upgrades and the delivery of through life support? We currently have a vacancy for a Financial Accountant in our Overseas Finance team at our site in Warton.

As a Financial Accountant you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of a number of overseas entities and branches. This includes all aspects financial accounting from Accounts Payable to Payroll processing and cash forecasting and management.

In addition, the role includes an element of management reporting, liaison with internal and external audit teams, use of financial systems as well regular communication with the wider business and Group functions.

This role will provide you with an exciting opportunity in an ever-changing environment, where you will be integrated into a multi-functional team that looks to maximise shareholder value within the business.

Your main responsibilities as an Financial Accountant within the Overseas Finance team will include:

Day to day processing and financial control of a number of entities and branches within the Overseas portfolio of companies

Preparing of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for a number of entities and branches

Compiling of the 5 year business plan and budget for overseas entities and branches in preparation for reviews with the management team.

Providing timely and accurate reporting information for both internal and external use, this will include such activities as HFM inputs, forecasts and information for the external auditors

Preparing of internal tax packs for the entities and branch that this role is responsible for. This includes working with the project finance teams, Group Tax and in country stakeholders

Building effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders such as, Group Tax, in country fiscal representatives and professional advisers.

Using Sage and SAP systems to record all the financial accounting transactions

Monitoring of cash flow and bank balances to ensure that the business can meet its funcing commitments.

Your skills and qualifications:

CIMA, ACA or ACCA - Part Qualified essential

Ability to Communicate, Use of own Initiative, Team Working

Knowledge of Sage and the month end reporting processes

Understanding of foreign currency and hedging requirements
