The Cross Product Change Services Team within Corporate and Investment Bank serves multiple internal and external clients in providing change services such as Business Analysis, Minimum Value Product Assessment, Reference Data Strategy definition and implementation, Process assessment and re-engineering, Automation, Implementation support, Test strategy and delivery.
JPM is seeking an ED (604) to lead data management for the Cross Product Change Services Team. This individual will lead / contribute to the following aspects of change management and have key responsibilities as outlined below.
Engage and collaborate with senior operational and technology partners from each sector and sub organization to identify opportunities for change acceleration, consistency and quality of delivery as relates to data
Engage data architects and data scientists in meaningful dialogue
Understand data structures; Have market data knowledge and understanding of various vendors e.g. Bloomberg, Reuters, IDC, Broadridge
Cover Data testing across 5 LOBs, 10 LE’s, and over 100 critical applications
Liaise with function leads, users, technology and key consumers to document data objectives, framework and roadmap
Analyse, consume, map, model, visualize, store, maintain, report and leverage data using technology (and smart tools)
Produce metrics, KPI and analysis to assist the team in making data-driven decisions
Define and map data relating to organizational roles
Design and implement an effective and top in class solution to capture, collate, store and maintain real time data for purpose of analysing risk, measuring progress and performance (though a common database solution as an example) in change delivery
Establish iterative data governance and reporting at all levels of the delivery lifecycle and for senior executives
Identify ways to resolve data pain points and maintain data integrity and consistency across functions consuming the same data in pre-production and test environments; Support data problems in test environments
Ensure maintenance of data standards per Chief Data Office guidelines; Collaborate regularly with the Data Scientists and Chief Data Office to leverage best practices and industry trends to solve our problems
Define and implement data validation approach to ensure data solutions comply with internal and external regulations / standards and monitor data integrity, standard and consistency through iterative testing, especially where new features are being integrated
Define data validation for various internal and external (client) platforms
Own datasets for testing and those provided / used by vendors to test
Define run books for data migration from legacy sources to new solutions as required
Define security and backup procedures for data
Provide operational support for Management Information Systems (MIS) and recommend solutions to implement new or improve existing data sources (such as JIRA, ALM, SharePoint)
Prepare documents explaining the data architecture, train folks in the team on data architecture, principles and practices to reduce Key Person Dependencies
Design CPCS data architecture to explore commercialization opportunities
Create FTE efficiency saves, cost savings, reduce risk exposure, and more through data remediation
The successful candidate will join a team focused on change delivery across products, help accelerate pace of delivery, provide metrics, KPIs to enable data based decision making and be responsible for supporting the strategy and execution of Cross Product Change Services objectives and initiatives.
The role will require working with stakeholders across the CIB, looking to leverage best practice across the industry and other J.P. Morgan business units. Lateral contacts in business, technology, middle offices, product and client facing organizations firm wide should be developed and mined for best practices.
- Significant financial services experience preferably in operational, program or client experience disciplines
Graduate degree preferred
Executive-level verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills

- Knowledge of the Securities, Markets and Wholesale Payments businesses, client base, operations and systems
