GSS Instructor/Training Specialist

Would you like to be involved with a specialist support system, developing people within the Typhoon Training Facility? We currently have a vacancy for a GSS Instructor/Training Specialist at our site in RAF Coningsby.

As a GSS Instructor/Training Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering training to students and undertaking appropriate assessments to ensure that each one develops the skills and is able to demonstrate the ability to perform the activities and tasks required in the domain of training.

This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to work within our specialist Typhoon Training facility training the next generation of Ground Support Systems specialists.

Your main responsibilities as a GSS Instructor/Training Specialist will involve:

Coaching and mentoring more junior or less experienced staff, ensuring that they understand the systems and protocols associated with the work and tasks. Ensuring that their work is reviewed and approved

Delivering training to students and undertaking appropriate assessments to ensure that each student develops the skills and is able to demonstrate the ability to perform the activities and tasks required in the domain of training

Providing advice on the updating of the course syllabus within their area of expertise

Carrying out course design activity; courseware, instructional specifications and course notes in order to meet the syllabus or emerging training tasks

Updating training materials to reflect maintenance policy changes and system upgrades, in order to meet the developing or changing requirements of the customer within scope of authorised approvals

Your skills and qualifications as a GSS Instructor/Training Specialist:

GSS Administration qualification, experienced on task

Knowledge of training design, delivery and evaluation within a military environment

Supervisory and team leadership skills

Instructor Qualification (Defence Train The Trainer 2 (DTTT) Course or civilian equivalent) – desirable
