Network Rail Training sits within Route Services where we provide training and learning opportunities across the organisation, managing and delivering our rail-industry core leadership and management development portfolio and delivering training requested for new programmes on behalf of our customers. We provide technical specialists to develop rail-specific training materials, reducing the skills competency gap and in doing so, developing a competent workforce for Network Rail.

Brief Description

Providing day to day delivery management of Leadership Development Team through co-ordinating the implementation of the training delivery plan. Managing a team to support the delivery of the plan. To be successful in this role you will need to lead a team, so management experience is essential.

No day is the same in this role so the ability to be adaptable to the change of day to day requirements is key. Travel will be required between the different sites of Westwood, Milton Keynes and Manchester, where you will be required to build and develop strong relationships not only with your immediate team but also the wider surrounding teams.

This role has the opportunity to be a job share or permanent dependent on the right candidate and has flexibility to be based in either Westwood or The Quadrant: MK.

About the role

Key Accountabilities:

1.Manage the Leadership Development Co-ordinators and Leadership Development Administrator.

2.Manage the administration processes and procedures supporting the delivery of leadership training interventions.

3.Execute the planning and scheduling of all training interventions in line with the requirements of the Senior Leadership Consultants and demand from the business.

4.Provide the relevant reporting of training and evaluation data on a regular basis to meet the requirements of the Principle Leadership Consultants.

5.Maintain and enhance customer relationships.

6.Establish and maintain good working relationships with training suppliers.

7.Management of all transactional financial activity, assurance procedures and period reporting associated in support of the Cost Centre Managers.

8.Identify and facilitate continuous improvement programmes and initiatives within the team to improve efficiency and service delivery

9.Quality Control and Continuous Improvement champion for processes and procedures associated with leadership training delivery.

10.Manage stakeholders to achieve expected outcomes.

We adhere to a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the following pay range: £32,740-£36,832
