We have a rare opportunity for a Tax Manager based at our Bardon Hill offices in Coalville, Leicestershire. If you are a proven tax expert with the ability to tackle some of the more technical areas, such as transfer pricing and thin capitalisation, as well as being proficient in managing day to day core activities around tax affairs - this could be an excellent opportunity to develop professionally within a varied business environment.
About the role
Reporting to our Head of Tax, this is a pivotal and varied role primarily responsible for the delivery of all corporation tax compliance, accounting and reporting deliverables within the Aggregate Industries Group. Our Tax team manage the tax affairs of our wider Group and oversee core activities including compliance, reporting, planning and advice. You will also have the opportunity to develop expertise across a range of indirect and employment taxes, transfer pricing, thin capitalisation and management of the annual R&D claim.
Fundamental to the role is the ability to build effective working relationships with both in-house departments and external stakeholders to drive further efficiencies into our tax compliance and reporting processes.
What will you bring?
Accounting and / or Tax qualification, with a strong academic background
Previous experience working in a professional services environment and / or a large Corporate or other Commercial business.
Strong commercial awareness and continuous improvement mindset
Ability to build relationships, communicate clearly and influence across an organisation regardless of grade and position
Robust planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and gets things done
High level of IT literacy. Specific knowledge of JD Ewards, SAP and OneSource corporate tax software would be beneficial
