Human Factors Technology Development Consultant

Location:Hertfordshire
Job Type:Full Time

Become part of the team

The Human Factors (HF) team within PA’s Product Development & Engineering (PDE) function forms a critical link in PA’s capability to offer end to end innovation, proof of concept, prototyping and later stage development/product lifecycle services. Working with a diverse range of clients that span life sciences, FMCG, consumer electronics and many more industry verticals, the HF team supports our client base across their product development activities.

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with engineers and designers to really bridge the gap between product development and customer experience.

What we're looking for

We are ideally looking candidates with an educational background in human factors, psychology, human centred design or similar that already have some industrial product development experience.

PA works extensively in the healthcare and life Sciences sectors, so candidates that have experience working with medical devices or diagnostics would be welcome; although PA's client base extends across all industry sectors.

You should have a track record of organising and delivering product evaluation workshops and producing insightful reports that can inform the product development and evaluation process.

We welcome HF professionals who want to embrace new testing and evaluation methodologies and are passionate enough to encourage clients to adopt new ways of thinking about HF as a service.

This would really suit someone who enjoys travel and direct client/user interactions and who ultimately wants to be an indispensable part of PA's product design and engineering service offering.
