Required criteria for the ideal Consultant:
* Ideally degree qualified in either a technical field and/or business degree.
* Other degree qualifications will be considered if experience is aligned with our services.
* Any of the following qualifications is desirable: project management, programme management, lean, change management and business cases.
* Experience working within one or more of our teams' services (business improvement & lean, programme management, business case advisory and business transformation services).
* Ability to work in teams and with a wide range of individuals, awareness of P3M, strong numerical skills and commercial awareness.
* Knowledge of the UK and Welsh major investment plans desirable.
* Security clearance is desirable but not essential.
A bit about the local team

There are approximately ten Consultants within the region that have been delivering Management Consultancy services across the UK. We provide services across all major Mott MacDonald Advisory portfolios including Social Infrastructure, Environment & Water, Transportation, Buildings, Energy and Defence. Existing clients include Central, Devolved and Local Government, water utilities, the environment agency and transport organisations.

As a Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering measurable value for our clients through across Business Improvement and Change Management services. We anticipate most commissions to be undertaken in client facing roles.
Training, development and chartership

When you join you will be:
* Assigned a buddy as part of induction
* Encouraged to identify a suitable mentor, via our Mentor match tool.
* Encouraged to train toward becoming a Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC)
We now have our own in-house training programme to achieve CHMC, which is fully accredited by the MCA/CMI.

We also have an online competency assessment tool which will we encourage to complete at various stages of your career to identify any gaps and drive your development
