The ideal candidate will be time served or have a minimum NVQ level 3 in an Engineering discipline, ideally with proven fault-finding skills. An understanding of Microsoft Packages would also be required. A flexible approach to work is essential along with good leadership and motivational skills
You should be capable of working on your own initiative without direct supervision, to be able to organise and carry out a daily programme of examinations and maintenance checks and demonstrate a high-level knowledge of Electrical Engineering systems along with a good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering systems. You should also be competent in assessing asset condition, capable of carry out repairs and maintenance, and be able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
The ideal candidate should be willing to undergo training as well as train and develop new recruits. A good understanding of Health and Safety at Work legislation is also required. The post involves shift work and rostered weekend working.
The role involves shift work including nights and weekends. Any offer will be conditional to the relevant pre-employment medical where required.
