Production Project Leader

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Project Leader (PPS) will lead an Integrated Manufacturing Team within PPS and be responsible for the Manufacturing element of a specific Project or Projects throughout the lifecycle (Development / Production / Support) ensuring items are Manufactured and/or Repaired to the agreed Operations Plan.

Your main responsibilities as a Production Project Leader (PPS) will involve:

Managing all aspects of repairs for a given programme within Operations

Driving plans to prepare for future repair capability.

Ensuring repairs are completed within agreed turn round times

Cost Management of the Touch labour and Support labour

Driving Quality into the Product
Leading a small team

Developing the skills and behaviours of individuals

Managing improvement activities

Interfacing with all other functions at many different levels

Your skills and qualifications:

Experience in a Repairs environment within Manufacturing would be highly desirable

Lean manufacturing knowledge

Previous Leadership experience

HNC / HND in Mechanical or Electrical Discipline – desirable but not essential

Experience in Continuous Improvement techniques
