Export Control officer – Transformation

Would you like to help influence and shape the future of export control within the business? We currently have a vacancy for an Export Control officer – Transformation at our site in Warton.

As an Export Control officer – Transformation, you will help to design the future export control processes, tools and communications within the AIR business,

This role will provide you the opportunity to join a highly motivated team developing solutions to enable business areas outside of Export control to take ownership of some export activities for themselves. This position will enable you to work in an agile environment, whilst developing your export control, human factors and user experience skills.

Your main responsibilities as an Export Control officer – Transformation will involve:

Supporting the development of material to help the AIR business incorporate export control knowledge into their daily programme and functional activities

Learning and applying export control knowledge into scenarios and support various export programmes, understanding key programme drivers, deliverables and export licensing requirements

Making sense of the export control and licensing challenges, establishing the facts and putting in place transformational approaches and solutions that will enable programme timely deliveries and continued compliance

Assessing new IT tools to understand and ensure the export licensing activities are incorporated into business processes

Supporting the implementation and management of the business governance including, risk identification and management, audit and assurance and timely investigation and reporting

Growing and sustaining productive relationships with a broad stakeholder group which includes project teams and functional representatives at all levels of seniority

Your skills and qualifications as an Export Control officer – Transformation:

A working knowledge of export control regulations, business processes & procedures

Experience in a transformational environment

Experience in Functional areas such as Procurement, Commercial, Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing or Supply Chain

Experience working in a fast paced, complex working environment

You will have excellent written, presentation and IT skills (particularly MS Excel & MS PowerPoint).

Experience in an aerospace / manufacturing environment would be desirable

Salary: £37,654
