Technical Services Manager

Would you like to be our further your leadership skills with our ever-growing Air business unit? We currently have a vacancy for a Technical Services Manager at our site in RAF Valley.

As a Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing the provision of technical support to all aircraft maintenance areas (Forward and Depth).

This role will provide you with wide ranging challenges on a day by day basis within the maintenance environment as well as dealing with a variety of people from differing backgrounds daily.

Your main responsibilities as a Technical Services Manager will involve:

Management of all technical information, both mandatory and advisory, includes the distribution for assessment and use

Utilisation of in-service data and defect analysis through the reliability programme

Analysis of all maintenance directives, mandatory requirements and proposed modifications. Ensuring safe and effective Technical support to all ‘in service’ and maintenance activities, by monitoring and maintaining service performance levels

Manage and Control of tail number specific latitudes, deferments and extensions of aircraft by utilisation of the Technical Enquiry process and the aircraft ‘system of record’. Produce reports from such for notification to the TAA / DH

Ensuring the satisfactory validation and derivation of Airworthiness Instructions (AI)

Ensuring the competence and capability of all personnel engaged in Technical Services

Manage the approval route and embodiment, within depth maintenance environments, of modifications and repairs, and ensuring that such activities are carried out to an approved standard

The reporting of occurrences to the respective Hawk CAMOs, TAA and the CDO

Review and implementation, as appropriate, of any additional TAA requirements

Your skills and qualifications:

Understanding of Continuous Airworthiness regulations

Good Engineering Background within Aviation Industry

Demonstrable competence in a management position

Understanding of the Military Air Environment

A Chartered Engineer who has held Airworthiness Delegation
