Senior Procurement Engineer – Governance

Would you like to provide support and leading on specific tasks within the Airframe Governance team on cross platform Governance and Export Control compliance and assurance activities, in line with business strategic objective ‘licence to trade’? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Procurement Engineer – Governance at our site in Samlesbury.

As a Senior Procurement Engineer – Governance, you will work with the central procurement functional team, quality and the wider procurement professional team within Airframe.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to become an SME within the Procurement Function or you can become a Procurement Group Leader.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Procurement Engineer – Governance will involve:

Supporting the activity to maintain Governance on, and compliance to, Functional & Business Processes

Supporting Airframe Audit activities, ensuring that Airframe are fully prepared

Supporting the Export Control SME in ensuring compliance with relevant EC policies and requirement

Maintaining the Governance scorecard and ensure the Governance management process is co-ordinated in line with reporting requirements

Maintaining the risk register and ensure the risk process is co-ordinated in line with reporting requirements

Managing the Workspace Governance library

Acting as initial administrative point of support for the Governance team in relation to ad-hoc requests for Governance and License queries

Your skills and qualifications:


Provide evidence of being a Procurement professional with knowledge of Governance and Export Control processes

Demonstrate the ability to manage stakeholders with good communication and influencing skills

Demonstrate the ability to understand complex procurement guidance into simple, straightforward and practical advice

Experience of working with multiple projects within a large organisation and adhering to tight deadlines

Demonstrate that you have meticulous attention to detail, as you will be expected to support audit and process confirmation activity


Either CIPS Qualified or working towards the qualification

Hold previous experience within a Governance role

Have previous work experience within the Aerospace industry

You will have excellent customer service skills with a focus on meeting their need whilst protecting the Airframe business. You will also have excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Your capacity to to work using your own initiative as well as part of a larger team will be an asset as will your ability to build relationships and create networks.

Salary: £37,654
