THE OPPORTUNITY – BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST


Reporting to the Maintenance Systems Manager within the Operations & Maintenance Function the Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for providing administrative support, managing vendor performance, and improving use of key functional systems.

AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT…

Asset Integrity System:

  • Provide all administrative support for the barrier model system.
  • Support the 2019/2020 barrier model project rollout.
  • Become the user focal point for both the product and all product issues.
  • Work with the software vendor on future product functionality releases.
  • Develop an annual product upgrade strategy and support the delivery of this through coordination with IS teams.
  • Establish a working ‘user community’ across the Spirit Energy operations community aimed at improving the use of product.
  • Manage product support performance.
  • Participate in a dashboard transition project from Business Objects to barrier model software.

Operational Integrity System:

  • Provide all system administrative support for the operational integrity product suite.
  • Support the 2020 project rollout.
  • Become the user focal point for both the product and all product issues.
  • Work with the software vendor on future product functionality releases.
  • Develop an annual product upgrade strategy and support the delivery of this through coordination with IS teams.
  • Establish a working ‘user community’ across the Spirit Energy maintenance community aimed at improving the use of the product suite.
  • Manage product support performance.

SAP:

  • Establish a working ‘user community’ across the Spirit Energy maintenance community aimed at improving the use of SAP.
  • Work with the PM Master Data team, Work Management Facilitators, and regional representatives to drive system changes.
  • Manage business communications for all SAP related changes, outages, upgrades etc.
  • Ensure SAP changes are delivered on time through coordination with IS teams, business teams, and third-party providers.
  • Become the functional link to all projects impacting the SAP PM area of the system.
  • Drive improved SAP ‘performance’ through management of improvement activities.

ABOUT YOU

  • Good understanding of systems, software, and vendors.
  • Good understanding of software release processes.
  • Key influencer and able to successfully deliver change initiatives within an operational environment at all levels of the organisation.
  • Good communications skills at all levels within the organisation.
  • Demonstrates positive challenge with an open collaborative style.
  • Capacity to deal with multiple projects or initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proven experience of managing systems, software, and vendors.
  • Experience of managing delivery of operational software support.
  • Experience of dealing with personnel at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrable business facing IS service delivery experience in an E&P environment.
  • Proven ability in working across regions and functions.
  • Understanding of maintenance and operations processes would be useful but not mandatory.
