Procurement Manager – Operational Training

Would you like to be the key interface for the Procurement Shared Service into the Typhoon Operational Training Business Winning Campaigns and Contract Mobilisation? We currently have a vacancy for a Procurement Manager – Operational Training based at our Warton Site.

As a Procurement Manager – Operational Training you will work as a member of a multifunctional integrated campaign team, providing Procurement capability and Procurement strategy deployment to meet the needs of the Typhoon operational training business area. Operational Training is a growth area of the business and as such offers the successful candidate the opportunity to influence Procurement strategy in an evolving and exciting area of future service provision.

In this role you will work as a member of the AC&E Procurement Shared Service within E&I, you will manage the effective deployment of corporate Procurement processes in line with local or business requirements.

Your main responsibilities as a Procurement Manager – Operational Training will involve:

Acting as focal point for Procurement service provision, monitoring service delivery and resolving issues.

Ensure that supplier facing Procurement teams are enabled through achievement of campaign/contract team dependencies (budgets, Customer requirements definition, programme definition etc.) and address issues as required

Drive and contribute to the determination of Procurement strategy, and implement plans and actions for areas of responsibility such that the strategy is developed and implemented. This may include taking a lead role in selecting suppliers through competitive tendering.

Ensure that products and materials are procured in a timely, cost effective and professional manner to meet contract and / or annual price, cost and budget.

Ensure procurement input into the bidding activity including providing bid responses, such that the budget is met, consistent with business objectives.

Ensure Procurement governance is adhered to and Responsible for leading Life Cycle Management activities for Procurement function as required for campaigns.

Your skills and qualifications as a Procurement Manager – Operational Training:

Degree or relevant vocational experience

Knowledge of LCM/business winning/ERF/RBA process and Procurement Governance

Experience of working within a Procurement, Project Management or Commercial environment

Confidence in preparing written documents and PowerPoint presentations
