Service Lead (DSP)

Would you like to lead and manage the provision of a new service to our customer? We currently have a vacancy for a Service Delivery Lead at our site in Christchurch.

As a Service Lead (DSP) you will be responsible for meeting expected service levels and implementing service improvements. This will be achieved through developing relationships with our customer and a wide supply base consisting of other BAE Systems units and 3rd party organisations.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to firstly lead the definition and establishment of a service through a competitive bid and then take it through execution.

Your main responsibilities as a Service Lead (DSP) will involve:

Multi-supplier leadership (internal and external) of service to provide a delivery partnership capability for the customer

Developing a close working relationship with Delivery Lead embedded with our customer and MOD stakeholders to understand evolving requirement

Establishing and executing process with suppliers and DI to ensure requirements are satisfied

Having SHE responsibilities for BAE Systems and sub-contractors deployed to the contract

Promoting wellbeing and motivation of team embedded with customer

BAE Systems internal reporting

Gaining understanding of wider BAE Systems strategic approach and digital strategy to ensure that our he delivery support partner service and vision furthers our agenda

Supporting wider business strategic discussions to share insight and direction of the programmes we are delivering

Managing a cross functional core team, engineering management and project management resource as required to deliver the contracts

Responsibility for evolving the service delivery organisation and coordinating with functional resource teams to staff up vacant posts

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Relevant Project Management qualification or experience

Experience leading teams to successfully deliver against contract commitments

Customer relationship management

Management of multi-supply chain

Desirable:

Desirable service delivery qualification

What we're looking for in you:

You will have strong communication skills and be able to build good working relationships with both management and your team. A positive attitude and the ability to problem solve is key to this role.

Ideally you have an honours degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant STEM subject, although relevant knowledge and experience may offset the qualification requirements. You will be required to obtain full Security Clearance.

Location: Christchurch

Salary: £44,600+
