Global Financial Messaging (GFM) is part of EMEA Cash Payments Operations and is a centre of excellence for critical SWIFT connectivity and processing capability for the Bank. The Bournemouth team maintains a strong partnership with the Bangalore office in a mirrored set-up. The role is for a Bournemouth based Operations Manager managing the day-to-day supervision of the team and its processes.
Summary of Responsibilities:
As Transaction Processing Manager you will be:
- Direct people management for the Bournemouth team
- Team management across Bournemouth and Bangalore teams
- Adherence to governance targets across GFM and Cash Operations
- Drive innovation and be data driven to improve operational efficiency, reduce errors and maintain scalability
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Operational leads, GFM Technology, SWIFT and internal key stakeholders
- Have experience of high-impact incidents
Good People and Team management skills
Excellent escalation and problem resolution abilities
At ease in delivering to senior managers
Demonstrates accountability and ownership
Ability to work in highly controlled and audited environment
Easily builds networks and relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
Conversant in technical concepts and application architecture
Experience with remote teams
Willingness to get into the details
Working knowledge of SWIFT is an advantage
