EMEA Finance & Business Management is seeking a VP level Business Manager based in London supporting Platform Sales.

Capabilities housed within EMEA Platform include: prime brokerage, clearing for futures and options, OTC derivatives; collateral management on both the buy- and sell-side; financing and securities lending; global custody and direct custody; fund services.

The Business Manager (BM), as part of the EMEA CIB Markets Sales Finance & Business Management organization, provides support to the business, and is critical for driving analysis, process improvement, financial analysis and controls, strategic initiatives.

Core Responsibilities:

Drive Growth and Strategy.

  • Work across the Platform organisation
  • Understand client revenue drivers and dissect client activity for business
  • Provide analytics for business decisions
  • Organise and participate in business reviews
  • Track progress to ensure delivery
  • Act as trusted partner to business head
  • Ensure implementation of business strategies and help drive change
  • Escalate issues and roadblocks
  • Drive competitive benchmarking & market analysis
  • Prepare and communicate business strategy, performance and priorities
Optimize Business Performance
  • Lead annual Plan / Budget process
  • Drive regular expense reviews to ensure targets are met
  • Assist in investment / productivity initiatives (headcount, technology spend, etc)
  • Ensure compliance with policies
  • Oversee occupancy and people moves
Manage Business Risks
  • Identify, assess and mitigate business risks that could impair the ability to do business:
  • NBAF
  • BCC (Business Controls Committee)
  • Resiliency planning
  • Audit and Regulatory reviews


  • Business Management / Finance / COO experience
  • Platform product background and knowledge preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
  • Good judgment, maturity and poise to enable interaction/influencing of senior management
  • Thoughtful analytical skills; able to develop, clearly present and draw conclusions
  • Self-starter able to prioritize key tasks effectively
  • Disciplined approach to managing processes and controls
  • Energetic, self-motivated and effective under pressure - must enjoy the challenge of working within a fast-paced and demanding working environment.
