Primarily, you'll be responsible for planning, writing and publishing great communications and engaging deliverables for internal use. One day you could be advising our senior leaders on an engagement plan to launch a new digital tool to colleagues and the next might see you liaising with an external software provider on a strategy to drive up the number of colleagues using it.


We'll welcome the creativity you bring to each new challenge, as well as the ability to stand in the shoes of our different audiences to understand their perspective. It's vital you can communicate clearly and well. You'll also ensure all our materials are aligned with our brand guidelines and tone of voice.


Digital by default

You'll be part of a coordinated internal communications team that ensures our strategic plans are aligned across the business, building strong relationships on a wide variety of programmes.

We're looking for an experienced internal communications professional who can demonstrate a robust track record of creating and implementing multi-phase internal communications and people engagement plans for projects and campaigns. With at least four years of experience in similar roles under your belt, you'll be able to demonstrate that you can see the bigger strategic picture and have the resilience to navigate complex and evolving requirements. You'll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills yourself, and an ability to collaborate well and advise diplomatically
We're particularly keen to see your ability to translate sometimes complex or technical IT information into simple, engaging stories. You'll be a creative thinker with a committed and flexible approach to the job. You'll need to able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, deliver to deadlines and work with a team. It's also important that you're familiar with a variety of internal channels, including internal digital options, and have the confidence to bring ideas about the best way to use and measure them.

You also need:

  • Experience of working in internal communications roles.
  • A relevant degree (e.g. English, communications, business, media, or PR)
  • A professional qualification in internal communications or marketing (such as a diploma with CIM, CIPR or IOIC).
  • Excellent skills in Word and PowerPoint and preferably familiarity with Excel and Share Point.
