Strategic Account Executive - FMCG / CPG

The Account Executive (FMCG/CPG) at Microsoft leads the engagement with our most valued clients, helping them to transform into digitally led businesses. Embracing a challenger mindset, the successful Executive will work on a Strategic Global Account as part of a large team an will excel at developing and sustaining strategic relationships across the customers business. With an aptitude for creating a clear vision for success, they will work with the global account team to drive revenue, adoption of our cloud platforms and market share growth for our clients by orchestrating across the global business, mobilising teams to deliver business outcomes enabled by our transformative technologies and solutions.

Leadership & Orchestration

Strategic Agility – ability to leverage insights and trends from across the industry to anticipate new growth opportunities for the customer and Microsoft by way of new market opportunities, innovative solutions and new service modes.
Business / Account Planning –build, own and orchestrate, dynamic, relevant business and account plans detailing critical insights, new business opportunities, technology strategy and operating model aligned to customer priorities and each of Microsoft’s solution areas, (Modern Workplace, Business Apps, Apps and Infrastructure, Data and AI).
Organisational Agility - build and grow a coalition of support between the client (IT, Business and Executives) and Microsoft business leaders to act as one in partnering together.
Strong leadership by coaching teams andsetting clear vision, with a strong sense of purpose and clear accountabilities to deliver results. Helping teams increase overall skills, specifically technical and industry acumen to deliver innovative ideas accelerating customer success in the cloud.


Lead, drive and manage opportunities for each of the 4 Digital Transformation pillars and 4 Solution Areas.   
Consistent achievement of revenue and consumption targets through rigorous sales discipline - pipeline, forecast management.
Leverage and utilise key business and industry insights to elevate customer conversation and action. 
World class customer service through alignment of customer objectives and plan to achieve.

Capabilities & Behaviours Required

Proven experience with large Retail and/or FMCGclients is highly desired.
Business Leader –Consistently achieved results by understanding digital transformation drivers and customer priorities. Identify new opportunities and help clients accelerate their move to the digital age for their own benefit as well as their customers.
Digital Transformation Leader– Anticipate market changes to drive industry-relevant solutions to clients, influencing BDMs and ITDMs, building trust with stakeholders and translating Microsoft solutions into business impact and outcomes that accelerate the customer’s digital transformation
Challenger – Continuously build industry and technical knowledgefor the benefit of both the internal teams and customers.
Bring innovative industry solutions, benchmarks and references to C-level executives that drive greater efficiencies, optimisation and increase customer satisfaction
Team Leader – Orchestrate virtual selling team and all Microsoft resources maximizing revenue opportunity.  Lead and drive entire sales cycle and leveraging repeatable offerings to accelerate and win deals


Strong growth mindset.  Seeks to solve for difficult and complex business and customer challenges.
Experience working with and leading virtual teams across multiple geographic locations and domains.
A strong consulting, business and sales background, with 10+ years of related experience.  
Experience and knowledge of the Retail/FMCGIndustry either by working in or with these
Strong relationship skills working with C-level, business decision makers.
