Role Purpose
  • This role requires the incumbent to support the Global Head of Surveillance and members of his Senior Management Team.
  • The incumbent will be need to pro-active and coordinate diaries/conference calls/ cross boarder meetings / travel etc. The incumbent will need to demonstrate an element of flexibility and occasionally act as central point for escalating time critical / sensitive information.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and work under a tight schedule whist remaining calm.
Key Accountabilities

  • Help support daily calls and ensure inquiries are dealt with promptly.
  • Provide full support to the team and handle all administrative duties.
  • Ensure all follow ups are closed out in a timely manner and to a satisfactory conclusion.

  • Executive Assistants within FCTM

Role Context
  • The role will report to the Global Head of Surveillance with functional reporting lines into the Global Head of Cross-Business Surveillance.
Management of Risk
  • Be aware of the Business Regulatory Risk associated with the business. Monitor in accordance with the Principal Accountabilities set out above.

Observation of Internal Controls

  • Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
  • To assist in the discharge of accountabilities set out in the Legal & Compliance FIM by proactively assisting Compliance Managers in their responsibilities to assist management in identifying and containing compliance risk, monitoring, reporting and certification, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.
