PROJECT MONITORING & CONTROLS MANAGER

Would you like to work in a fast paced and varied environment having impact on the Navy’s capability to get ships to sea? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Monitoring & Controls Manager at our site in Portsmouth

As a Project Monitoring & Controls Manager, you will be working with internal stakeholders including Project Managers, Programme Managers, Leads and externally with MOD and the Royal Navy

This role will provide you with opportunities to develop into project delivery roles as well as other opportunities within BAE Systems

Your main responsibilities as a Project Monitoring & Controls Manager will involve:

Management of project controls teams

Schedule adherence and robust project controls management

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Project Management/controls experience (Minimum of 5 years)

Extensive, expert level understanding a range of PM&C tools, techniques and practices

Strong stakeholder management/influence skills

Extensive knowledge and experience of PM&C governance and assurance processes such as Baseline reviews (IBR’s) and as an assessor of PM&C aspects at LMC reviews

Strong ability to capture, evaluate and share best practice

Desirable:

Able to work in ambiguity or an ever-changing environment

Experience in a Defence / Maritime repair environment

You will have strong diplomacy skills in order to work across business boundaries.The ability to influence people is necessary when negotiating with operational managers at all levels. You will be a strong communicator to enable you to deliver complex and sensitive information and you will know how to motivate your local team.
