A GTI TGO Resiliency Lead is responsible for managing/coordinating the operational execution of the Technology Resiliency and Business Resiliency activities of their TGO. It requires building strong working relationships with AOs, Operate Teams, clients and businesses to effectively provide end-to-end infrastructure services related to the recovery of the TGO’s production applications, services/products, business functions and staff. The responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Technology Resiliency:
  • Coordinating Technology resiliency testing (the planning, execution and reporting of the TGO’s application and product participation in Disaster Recovery, High Availability, & Sustained Resiliency tests)
    • Planning:
      • Collaborating with business and technology leads to agree test dates and secure resources (in order to maintain testing compliance and enable participation in the MEPC DR/Enhanced/CIP Test Events)
      • For each test event:
        • Confirm the list of all in-scope applications are accurate & complete (to be done before GTRM finalise the Participation List)
        • That all active application locations are accurate (in Verum and RDMS)
        • That GTRM PRR have reviewed and approved all your Single-site applications
        • The TRAPS are updated with Test Participation Records
        • Manage Opt-Outs (to a minimum, aligning to the correct code, capturing the business case, obtaining all the relevant TGO approvals, and for Band1, requesting iCTO approve and obtain CIO approval).
        • Ensure ITSMs for all participating apps are in RTI status before the 7 day prior lockdown period implemented by GTRM.
        • AOs, Operate Teams and Testers of participating apps are informed of what is expected of them during the test event (Command & Control updates, Capture of substantiation material, being contactable).
        • TGO Resiliency Leads must be available during the tests (MEPC, Enhanced, CIP or otherwise) to act as a point of contact / escalation to GTRM for their in scope applications.
    • Execution:
      • Track the testing status of the participating applications (which apps have yet to test, which are testing, and which completed testing)
      • Ensure Command & Control has been updated with testing status for the TGO in-scope applications, 30 minutes prior to a GTRM scheduled status call or join the GTRM calls to provide status, until the app has completed the test, is in a BAU state and completion status has been conveyed to GTRM.
      • All Test Failures are logged
    • Reporting:
      • Within 12 days of each application having completing its testing:
        • Update RDMS Test Participation records ASAP after the test.
        • Pro-actively verify successful adjudication (manual or automated), promptly addressing any issues – raising Manual Adjudication Requests as necessary.
      • Test Failure
        • Update Test Failure in RDMS.
        • Update Test Failure Log with remediation status. Open Breaks where/when applicable. Close out each entry timely & accurately.
        • Reschedule failed or cancelled events within 30 days of failure/cancellations, so as to not affect the metrics.
  • Facilitate communication and follow up actions, chair meetings, capture test results and publish key reports for management review
  • Support technology leads with the creation and maintenance of critical resiliency documentation –Technology Recovery Action Plans, AIAs, DRP, ADP, CRA.
  • Pro-actively work with AOs to maintain resiliency compliance and reduce Resiliency Risk to a minimum.
  • Pro-actively monitor for Resiliency Non-compliance, taking prompt and effective actions to address and restore compliance.
  • Provide support for Change, Incident, Problem and Release Management processes
  • Identify and implement continuous service improvement opportunities
  • Support and drive the CAF On-boarding process (targeting completion within 45 days)
  • Support and drive the AOs as they retire and decommission their Applications.
  • Work with AOs to ensure they comply with all the Resiliency requirements during the application lifecycle: PLAN, BUILD, OPERATE, RETIRED, DECOMMISSIONED (including SEAL changes and GTI Application Tollgate requirements).
  • Be the Resiliency SME for the TGO organisations - providing guidance to their AOs and Operate Teams on Technology Resiliency matters.
  • Be a primary POC for your TGO organisations for technology resiliency initiatives and associated incidents.
  • Familiarise yourself with the Firm’s Technology Resiliency Policies, Standards & Control Procedures.
  • Support the UAT testing of new technology releases of the RDMS tool on behalf of GTI.
  • Provide / facilitate resiliency training for the AO community & Operations Teams.
Business Resiliency:
  • Planning, executing and coordinating Business resiliency tests (Recovery Strategy, GENT Notification & Simulation) for the TGO’s Local, Regional or Global staff.
  • Collaborating with business and technology leads to agree test dates and secure resources
  • Facilitate communication and follow up actions, chair meetings, capture test results and publish key reports for management review
  • Support technology leads with the creation and maintenance of critical resiliency documentation – Business Continuity Plans and Business Impact Assessments (to include the Walkthrough, Quality Review and Approval processes).
  • Identify and implement continuous service improvement opportunities
  • Modify/replace Business Continuity Plans & Business Impact Assessments to remain in synch with the changes to the TGO organisation and its business functions and staffing.
  • In a CRISIS incident situation:
    • Support your TGO to recover their Business Functions and staff Mgt.
    • Support the Life Safety process to ensure all the impacted staff (of your TGO Org) are accounted for.
  • Be a primary POC for your TGO organisations for business resiliency initiatives and associated incidents.
  • Support the UAT testing of new business releases of the RDMS tool on behalf of GTI.
  • Proactively monitor for and address missing items from Business Continuity Plans and Business Impact Assessments.
  • Familiarise yourself with the Firm’s Business Resiliency Policies, Standards & Control Procedures.
  • Provide / facilitate resiliency training for the business coordinator community within your TGO.
