This will include overseeing all elements of their development, delivery, and ongoing maintenance.

Some of your responsibilities will be

  • Line management of the Smart Pay Engineering teams
  • Ensuring the team does not overpromise/underdeliver
  • Promoting teamwork and ensuring that the teams is empowered
  • Delivering significant new features based on the business requirements
  • Delivering technical solutions that adhere to / go beyond best practice
  • Championing and maintaining quality standards and process
  • Conducting risk assessment and mitigation activities
  • Managing integrations and technical partner relations.
  • The experience and qualifications you will have

  • Involvement in leading a development team and helping to define a product roadmap
  • Experience building large-scale business critical SaaS applications
  • Establishing technical leadership, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Fullstack web/mobile development with a variety of languages including but not limited to PHP, Javascript & HTML
  • Detailed knowledge of relational databases and SQL, and when other databases may be appropriate
  • Comfortable with API integrations with any payroll of HR information systems integration experience a significant plus
  • Experience with security and privacy standards like GDPR, PCI DSS and ISO27001:2013
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and verbal / written communication skills

  • Telephone interview with our recruitment team
  • In person interview with 2 of our Lead Engineers
  • Final in person interview with our CTA and Lead Engineer on Smart Pay
