Vice President, Software Engineering, AWM
As a Senior Software Engineering (Vice President), your mission is to help lead our team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve the way our business is run. JPMorgan Asset Management is embarking on a major multi-year, ground up initiative to dramatically enhance our derivatives capabilities end-to-end. We will be leveraging the firm’s Athena (python) platform to handle rapidly increasing trade volumes, shorter time to market, and portfolio management requirements. This effort is of the highest strategic importance to the firm.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Build out of tools for the entire Portfolio Management process including portfolio structuring and implementation, position management, trading, middle office, operations and accounting
Manage relationship with business stakeholders: Portfolio Managers, Traders, Business Management, Research & Operations
Integration of newly built software with existing JP Morgan Asset Management internal platforms
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes
Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
Experience in leading technical teams
Demonstrable project delivery experience
Applied design & development experience in one or more of object oriented languages such as Python, Java, C++ or C#
Candidates with knowledge of pricing and trade management of financial derivatives preferred.
