The Role….

Based within the Global Outdoor Operations function, the Performance and Reporting Manager is responsible for developing and delivering performance-based reporting across the Operations department. They will be responsible for analysing the reporting and creating Improvement Projects within operations to drive performance across the Outdoor business.

This is a key role within the Operations department and critical in driving business performance improvement for internal and external stakeholders. They will also be responsible for delivering presentations and project updates at all levels of the business and should be comfortable with dealing directly with management up to a senior leadership level.

Purpose of the role

  • Create, develop and maintain strong levels of reporting capabilities within the outdoor business
  • Assuring reporting content is forward-looking and action orientated to facilitate ‘predict and prevent’ capability
  • Leading the delivery of a suite of visual dashboards and summary reports across Operations and the wider business to provide timely visibility of systemic performance issues
  • Analysis of key data and reports to drive focus on performance assurance and improvement across various operational departments and the wider business
  • Ensuring management information is reported accurately, consistently and on time
  • Reviewing and submitting forecasts and early warnings of performance trends, issues and insights to enable Operational Leadership to make intelligent, informed decisions
  • Performance management of key departments within Operations to ensure we push to be ‘best in class’ within the business and the wider Out of Home industry
  • Development of Operational Performance strategies which can be implemented across Operations
  • Driving continuous improvement of delivery management effectiveness by providing actionable feedback on the impact of interventions and decisions
  • Developing a strong network of key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication, control and business integration.
  • Continuously reviewing processes and approaches to ensure they remain relevant and efficient.
  • Liaise with Regional Delivery to drive contractor performance improvement to enable world-class delivery whilst ensuring a collaborative approach
  • Driving continuous improvement of delivery management effectiveness by providing actionable feedback on the impact of interventions and decisions
  • Demonstrating excellent relationship and stakeholder management, with clear communication and effective escalation channels

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To create, develop and maintain the performance measures of the business through strong analytical abilities and deliver visual and action biased reporting to drive performance improvements.
  • To become a ‘best in class’ champion and leader for the whole of Operations and even the wider business and drive the performance agenda to other parts of the department and hold them to account where required
  • Meeting the requirements of the leadership team in terms of performance and reporting functionality

Experience

  • 4 years+ experience of managing performance through strong reporting and business improvement methodologies (Lean, Service Manufacturing, Six Sigma would be an advantage but not mandatory)
  • Experience of working with structured and unstructured data sets
  • Extensive skill and experience in presenting complex information to senior executives and shareholders
  • Excellent IT skills including intermediate level working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software packages, preferably Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Qualifications / Specific Knowledge

  • Ideally Degree Qualified although work experience will also be considered
  • Technology and digital knowledge of Out of Home an advantage.
  • Previous knowledge or experience in using analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau and Qliksense an advantage
