Senior Engineer (Nuclear)
Would you like to act as a liaison point primarily between the BAE and Rolls Royce Industrial Partners? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Engineer (Nuclear) at our site in Barrow.
As a Senior Engineer (Nuclear), you will confirm by review and surveillance assumptions underpinning engineering data, analysis methodologies, and interpretation of results are appropriate to the need of the whole boat provider teams.
This post will play a key role in the Development, Manufacture Build Test & Commissioning of the NSRP to support the Dreadnought Programme and will require significant design, build and interaction.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Engineer (Nuclear) will involve:
Representing BAES Engineering to ensure interfaces & requirements are met by Rolls Royce
Facilitating good communication between the Derby site and the teams in Barrow
Liaising with customers both internal and external and suppliers to ensure their requirements and needs are considered, incorporated, and where appropriate agreed
Representing BAES for your scope of work
Monitoring relevant progress against the program schedule
Regular reporting on activity through the Engineering Integration Team [PEIT]
Occasional travel to Rolls Royce based in Derby
Your skills and qualifications:
Possess sufficient experience of submarine nuclear steam raising plant (NSRP) and ideally submarine design.
The aptitude to identify unusual characteristics and other departures from normal practice that may require deeper investigation
Have an understanding of how the product is operated
Must be experienced in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and Project
