Job description:

The regulatory focus on Resiliency is significant. Global regulators are moving toward the concept of Operational Resilience, which continues to challenge organizations to enhance their resiliency frameworks.

CIB Resiliency covers Front Office, Operations, Technology and Corporate Functions; as CIB Resiliency Lead, your role will be to lead the EMEA team and to be the primary point of contact for the Markets businesses globally, to ensure that the firm can effectively maintain key business processes, systems and support functions in the event of disruptive events.

Your remit will include ensuring consistent analysis and implementation of regulatory requirements, management of location stakeholders and reporting, co-ordination of regional/location level testing and planning / capability readiness

Your main responsibility will include executing the strategy, process re-engineering, crisis management and client interaction. You will need to work closely with the program team and regulatory interaction team to ensure cohesive delivery.

You will need excellent people management skills in order to develop strong relationship with your peers in Asia, NA & LATAM; in order to collectively develop a consistent global operating model taking potential regional differences into consideration.

You will need a demonstrated track record of building effective working relationships with peers, colleagues, and senior management in order collaborate across functions and business silos.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run CIB EMEA Resiliency team, ensuring that the team is cohesive and aligned towards the same goals
  • Primary point of contact for the Markets businesses on a global basis

  • Execute the CIB resiliency strategic agenda, partnering closely with your global partners and the Firmwide Resiliency team

  • Develop a cohesive and effective partnership with business and operations

  • Proactively manage resiliency risks to incorporate appropriate mitigations and controls;

  • Engage with control stakeholders including 2nd and 3rd lines of defence,

  • Establish mechanisms for effective risk & performance measurement through KRIs / KPIs, reporting, and governance

Experience Required:

  • Experience in an investment banking Regulatory, Compliance or Operational team is desirable

  • Business Resiliency, Operational & Crisis Management experience

  • Experience leading and managing a team

  • Strong working knowledge of compliance, audit, risk and operational management concepts

  • Successful track record of delivering results;

  • Demonstrated governance over process and controls, both over established and required enhancements

  • Attested track record of working to deadlines, with accountability and responsibility for independent workload
