CIB F&BM – EMEA Investment & Corporate Banking - Planning & Analysis – Vice President - London

Role Description:

This London based position offers the opportunity to lead the (P&A) Planning & Analysis team supporting the Investment Banking and Corporate Banking Coverage teams within the broader EMEA Banking franchise being led by Viswas Raghavan. The business is comprised of the following groups:

Investment Banking Coverage - Client Executives organized by country and industry serve as the primary point of contact to provide comprehensive advisory, capital raising and risk management solutions to help clients achieve their strategic objectives

Corporate Banking - Corporate Bankers help large corporations, financial institutions and public sector organizations achieve their objectives by working with their product partners to provide multi-product solutions, often spanning multiple LOBs


Role responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end the EMEA IB Coverage and Corporate Banking businesses
  • Lead a cross location team of 4-5 people

  • Develop deep knowledge of the business drivers from a P&L perspective

  • Leverage and analyse large amounts of data to provide solutions to business problems

  • Prepare presentation materials that clearly articulate findings and present this to regional management as required

  • Create new reporting solutions to satisfy evolving informational needs

  • Drive internal strategy reviews

  • Benchmark business performance against our peers

  • Support the Global Banking digitisation agenda through the creation of dash-boarding tools

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Experience in partnering with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Ability to lead and develop a strong team
  • An interest in Investment Banking Products
  • A strategic thinker with excellent commercial acumen
  • Solid experience with management accounting or analytical reviews of business performance
  • Excellent analytical skills and quantitative ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise in all Microsoft Office applications – Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
  • Accounting qualification (preferred)
  • Degree qualification (essential)
