Procurement Professional (IT Hardware)
Would you like to play a highly varied role working in a busy environment in BAE Systems Complex Systems and Support? We currently have a vacancy for a Procurement Professional managing IT hardware at our sites in Frimley and Ash Vale.
As a Procurement Professional, you will be responsible for supporting procurement activities within integrated project teams for the delivery of multiple cross-functional engagements. This role includes the development of procurement strategies and plans, supplier performance management and contract management initiatives.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to take part in making a positive difference on our part of the boat programme.
Your main responsibilities as a Procurement Professional will involve:
Developing, maintaining and managing key relationships both internally and externally. Collaborating with team members to promote effective cross functional collaboration and deliver procurement support and guidance to other functions as required.
Supply Chain activities to develop our supply base and undertake the full procurement process with a range of IT hardware suppliers - both strategic and transactional, several of which are important to the delivery of our boat programmes.
Negotiate and deliver efficiencies and cost savings for the range of IT hardware which is required across a number of our programmes.
Contributing knowledge and experience to support Continuous Improvement and Learning from activity across the Supply Chain function.
Having a sound understanding of and apply the Quality Management System documentation e.g. Policy, Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Risk Assessments etc. applicable to your particular work scope and to comply with Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) rules and control measures
Your skills and qualifications:
Supply Chain experience in a similar role (minimum 4 years).
Good product and supply chain knowledge around IT systems and the supply base in the UK.
Experience of working on a range of large and small contracts, negotiating terms and conditions, as well as leading supplier relationships.
Proven track record of supporting stakeholder engagement within a highly regulated environment.
Experience of ERP Systems (especially SAP).
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and office packages.
Experience of managing data and generating reports.
CIPS Qualification (preferably Level 4 or above)

Our Submarines business has been safely delivering world class submarines to the UK Royal Navy for more than a century.
