TfGM oversees transport in Greater Manchester, delivering and improving transport services, facilities and information to make travel easier for everyone. We deliver high-profile, large-scale transport projects, and it’s our experts who provide the information and analysis to shape transport strategy. This is a busy and exciting time for us: under the devolution agreement and with Greater Manchester at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse, transport will play a vital role in supporting growth and prosperity in the UK’s largest regional economy outside London.
We are seeking an Operator Payments Assistant to calculate and distribute payments for a variety of travel schemes within Greater Manchester. In this role you will provide financial support to TfGM’s Travelshops which will involve bank reconciliations and recording accounting transactions into SAP. You will also build relationships with a range of stakeholders to help to facilitate payments to travel operators in Greater Manchester.
You will have excellent analytical skills, an understanding of accounting procedures and processes and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
Extensive experience of Microsoft Office packages, SAP accounting system and a familiarity with control account reconciliations are essential to succeed in this dynamic role. The ability to understand and articulate complex issues to a variety of stakeholders is also vital.
