Production Test Engineer

Do you have what it takes to add exceptional value as a Production Test Engineer in our manufacturing function? Would you like to work with a cutting edge product in Radar Technology?

We currently have a vacancy for a Production Test Engineer based at our site in Cowes, Isle of Wight.

You will be part of a team responsible for the Test & Fault diagnosis of complex Analogue, Digital, RF, Microwave and HV units in a high technology manufacturing environment.

You need to deliver against business milestones, ensuring quality, cost & schedule is achieved.

You may also support Design Engineering in complex investigations and trials.

The role will provide you with an opportunity to work with a cutting edge product in Radar technology.

The role requires a background and experience in product testing, ensuring high levels of health, safety and environmental compliance along with product quality assurance.

Your main responsibilities as a Production Test Engineer will involve:

Testing complex manufactured product from Line Replaceable Units (LRU) to Radar Systems

Diagnose a wide range of complex manufactured product

Test in accordance with defined Test Schedule/instructions

Test in accordance with defined PAS (Performance Specification), determine test solution as required

Use of a wide range of test equipment, up to and including complex Test Ranges

Use business systems to record product history/compliance

Support and assist in the training of personnel.

Work unsupervised

Your skills and qualifications:

Have a detailed understanding of a wide range of technical disciplines such as analogue, digital, RF, micro-processing and HV. etc.

Have a broad range of product experience / Knowledge, military or commercial Radar equipment would be an advantage.

SHE awareness & experience of ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001

Awareness & experience of ISO 9001

Have a technical related qualification to HND / HNC level or equivalent experience in industry.

Proven experience of continuous improvement initiation and implementation of change

Quality cost and delivery focused

Computer Literate
